"Sach ki Talaash mei bohot saare jhooth saamne aate hain.."
Thanks to the promos and publicizing of 'Talaash', before inserting the Disc, I already had a rough idea about the kind of music that was about to touch my ears..
Despite me being ready, I was completely thrown off balance with the beauty of fusion. Very subtly, Ram Sampath mixed mystery, darkness, and trance into single masterpieces.
If the Trailers and promos confuse you about the storyline, the Music will drive you CRAZY. It only increases the urge to watch the movie.
We have seen Ram Sampath and Sona Mohapatra show their talents at 'Satyamev Jayate', in a way, that was a preview to Talaash's Music. They both majorly pack masterpieces with their voices.
Authencity, is what is special about both of them, and it is very evident with this album.

'Talaash' has some strong beats. Good basslines with a lot of trance inputs. Ram Sampath, for a change, deviated from his Rockish style of Bollywood Music, as the story demands mystery. The whole album will grip till you the very end. No loose ends to this one. Strong beats combined with gripping instrumentals is what will make you push that 'Repeat' button.
Song-by-Song breakdown:
1) Muskaanein Jhooti Hai : "Sabko talaash vohi..samjhe yeh kaash koi.."
The album kickstarts with a sexy, jazzy song starring Kareena Kapoor. Need I say anymore?
If not anything, listen to this one for it's bassline. Bass leads that continue throughout the track, will play with you head. Suman Sridhar fits in beautifully with the vocals. Her crafty, cunning voice that judges your character while you listen to her sing will make you go crazy. A bit more on the spooky side, this song is worth all the hype.

2) Jee Le Zaraa : "Aa paas aa...jee le zaraa.."
Mystery, how can we forget Vishal Dadlani!! Here comes in Vishal Dadlani with his deep, penetrating voice, with the poster song of the movie. You will fall in love with the Intro music and the Background instrumentals. The vocalist carries it on his shoulders, and not vice versa. The lyrics might seem out of place, but it will all make sense once you see it with the movie. Extensive fillers are used in this track, which make it even more deep and strange. Grand Piano with Bass, enough said.

3) Jiya Lage Na : "Jiya lage na..tum bin mora.."
The song starts with a classical stretch with Sona Mohapatra's beautiful voice, and you speculate it to be one of the soft boring tracks, till the Hip-hop beats kick in. That's when you realize appearances are deceptive. This is one beautiful piece of Fusion Music. Classical Tabla beats combined with trance beats and antara stretches in place of the rap, all overlayered on a tight, subtle Bassline. Ravindra Upadhyay gives a brilliant performance but Sona overshadows it.

4) Hona Hai Kya : "Kis ghadi mei...hona hai kya.."
The recent obsession of Bollywood with Dubstep and Trance is very evident with this track. Ram Sampath will spook you out with this masterpiece. Fusing mystery with Trance, it's bound to make you play it again and again. Fast paced music but not adrenaline pumping. Sampath gives it an odd calming effect. His singing is unparalleled in Bollywood. Brilliant use of fillers and bass. Gives you the feel of the storyline. Will also remind you of the 'Don' title track.

5) Laakh Duniya Kahe : "tum yahin ho...tum yahin ho.."
After all the intense drama, action, tragedy, emotion, it all comes to a happy ending in every Bollywood Movie. This one's the happy ending to the album. Ram Sampath shows his versatility by singing a soft, emotional number. Falling back on his trump-card, the Rock Genre, he beautifully manages to deliver a masterpiece. Something you can play on your guitar to your girlfriend on your anniversary. Not plunging deep with the lyrics, he manages to give one beautiful ending.

6) Jee Le Zaraa (Remix) :
The kind of track which forces you to tap your feet, no matter how much of a confirmed dyseptic you are. Brilliant use of trance beats and Hip-Hop fillers. Any kind of music with a 150+ BPM is sure to make you dance. Another pseudo-ending to an amazing album. Well what is Bollywood without a little dance?

overall, this album packs a collection of amazing tracks. Will gladly give it a 9/10.
Highly recommend this movie. After all, it's Aamir Khan.
